Queen Of My Heart

A friend of my father wrote the lyrics to this song, in 2018, I think.

Dad says the gentlemen in question wishes to remain anonymous.

Our version 'Sabine: Queen of My Heart' was recorded in October 2024.
"Comes a time when your guiding star
Takes you down to an Oxford Bar
Where she's waiting there just for you,
For the man of her dreams come true.

On the river lying in her arms,
How could I not fall for Sabine's charms.
Mine kleine liebling, such a sweet episode.
Scent of apples down on Brecknock Road.

And this is love. And this is love. And this is love.

God forgive me for the things I've done,
When I was playing around and having fun.
Who knew where the time would go,
When she took the high road and I took the low.

And this is love. And this is love. And this is love.

Oh, Sabine she's the queen of my heart.
She'll be beside me should the world turn dark.
No matter what the future we'll never part,

Cos Sabine she's the queen of my heart.

Time flies so it doesn't seem far,
Since I met her in that Oxford bar.
Seems God forgave me for my youthful sins,
On the road less travelled, when the Odyssey ends

My German girl is a woman now.
After all this time she's back with me somehow.
We've been together now a good, long time,
I'm used to her ways and she's used to mine.

And this is love. And this is love. And this is love.

Oh, Sabine she's the queen of my heart.
She'll be beside me should the world turn dark.
No matter what the future we'll never part
Cos Sabine she's the queen of my heart."
Here's the original version of 'Queen of My Heart', with dad singing.
