Lonesome Boy was one of the first songs I ever wrote. (1968)
This version (original melody, chord structure and feel) was created in March/April 2025.
"I'm just a way down lonesome boy.
With those plain old lonesome blues.
I've got a pocket full of nothing,
But a heart full of gold,
For a woman who's just like you.
Well, baby you were my first love.
And it seems that you'll be my last.
You're the only woman I can recall,
In my lonesome past.
I'm just a way down lonesome boy.
With those plain old lonesome blues.
I've got a pocket full of nothing,
But a heart full of gold, For a woman who's just like you.
Seems a long time since we parted,
And it's been longer than it seems.
I'm just a lonesome boy,
In my lonesome room,
Locked in with my lonesome dreams.
Hannah Hill, I miss you,
Hannah, won't you please relent.
Whatever you want I'll give you,
Every dollar, every last red cent.
I'm just a way down lonesome boy.The version below is, basically, SUNO's version of the song (created in March/April 2025).
And, honey, I'm feelin' blue.
I've got a pocket full of nothing,
But a heart full of gold,
For you and only you."
One tells the machine what style, singer, ambience is wanted - You nudge the instructions and, after about 10 tries, it comes up with something close to this. After editing and mixing and splicing the preferred sections, voila!
