Your moon on my window colours the darkness bright.

A lifetime on the road,
No matter where it lead to.

Always building castles or heading for the highest hill,
It seems to be the way, when you're young, you've got to prove yourself!
There's so much to do,
Sometimes you're blind to the view.
Older, wiser, then,
No more making pretend,
Linda, I've always loved you.

Back along that old road, we headed out on our separate ways.
You had something to prove, I had my trail to blaze.
We made it I guess.
So much for success.
In the end,
